Oscar De La Hoya is the only party who's been talking about the fight doing 1m PPV buys; the talks are still coming in, but the early talk from most of the steady folks has been the event eventually closing in on 900k-950k PPV buys, with the possible chance of crossing that 1 million mark.

It's illogical to think they'll get exactly the same ratings for all their cards.
You brought up the chicks fight, and they've been the headline of a PPV each single time the belt was on the line regardless of who won. First it was Holm, then the girl that beat her, and now that brazilian chick. And if she takes an L it'll be next girl up for the next PPV.
How would that same scenario work out in boxing? It wouldn't.

Like I said pick your poison use glaser numbers then GGG did 97k canelo did 700k. You want to go by media outlets GGG did 150k and Canelo did over 1m. the most ppvs outside of manny vs floyd in the last 4 years. Last fight that did more was canelo vs floyd. Canelo is without a doubt the new ppv king.
