  • Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor vs. Ohara Davies Deal Reached, July 8 in Glasgow

After months of talking trash, a deal has been reached where junior welterweight rivals Ohara Davies (15-0, 12 KOs) and Josh Taylor (9-0, 8 KOs) will collide on July 8th at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow. Davies doesn't think much of Taylor and believes he can blow him out inside the distance.

Nice, was starting to think it wouldn't get made

I love a good battle between top prospects. Great for their development and they can always rematch down the line for even more money if things pan out

Barry must have put up the paper. Massive chance for Ohara, kudos to him for fighting in Taylor's backyard. Any thoughts on the outcome of the fight?.

I think OD has more experience. Slight favourite for me. But I like both guys.

Id go the opposite, think Taylors more skillful, give him the edge. But yeah, like them both, wouldnt be dissappointed either way, wont effect either much, a loss, I doubt

Think OD may have a slight power edge, but taylor might be a little bigger. I like OD's patience in the ring. Afraid it might come 2-3 fights too early for JT, but let's see. Glad this fight's been made!
