New to this forum, sorry if it has been asked. I'm not here to talk about the fight as I believe Mayweather would/will easily coast to a victory, but this is more of a matter of "What If".
Now, bare with me because this is a huge IF, but I haven't heard it talked about and want to know what the consequences would be. What if McGregor, like everyone else, knows that he will get beat in the ring and doesn't care. I understand that even in losing that he will still get paid and that McGregor could easily be doing it because the UFC doesn't let him make nearly as much money as Boxing does, but what if it weren't about the money either. To me the only thing that McGregor cares more about than money is his **** talking, where Floyd is the opposite.
SO, here it is, WHAT IF McGregor got in the thing with only one thing in mind? He's going to beat Floyd NO MATTER WHAT. WHAT IF McGregor, either right away or when he sees the fight in doubt, storms Mayweather and turns it to a ground and pound? Besides being disqualified, losing the money, boxing license and the idea that people would be in the ring right away to pull him off of Floyd, would there be any other consequences?
I know this is a HUGE stretch of the imagination, but giving who McGregor is I personally don't think it would be too farfetched. It would give him a platform to say that he "beat" floyd when no one else could. He'd embrace it and stand as king in his eyes. So, my question is, would he be facing anything like jail time, or be subject to lawsuits from floyd. Again, very unlikely, but what if?
