Haymon does it all the time

He's with Floyd and Al Haymon, so the boxingscene writers have to hedge a little that they'll be allowed to break the rules without punishment like always. This is such a time honored rule however that it will really, really expose the sanctioning body, and ruin their credibility for decades, if they let a fighter keep their belt without making weight. I expect this to be an open and shut case of him getting his belt stripped, but with these characters involved, and the corruption in boxing surrounding these characters, you can never be 100% sure until it happens.

But, I think this is a pretty safe one to assume. I mean, it's the rule.

The corruption surrounding Haymon is legendary. His biggest asset is the war chest of Waddell and Reid (embezzlement) and his media propaganda through such outlets mentioned. This guy and Floyd turned BOXING into an even more corrupt and shady entity than ever before.

Back on topic, Gervonta will not be long for 130 if he is already struggling to make weight in that division. Meanwhile he is allowing Floyd to navigate his career and his own promoter doesn't even know who he fought and can't guarantee his fighter will make weight. Off to a great start.

Yeah he was. He still had a lot more in the tank than Roy. Roy was already damaged goods going from mw to hw to getting ko`d by tarver . I will stick with the topic now. and agree with you that Davis has to move up after this fight.

he really is just a mini broner even struggling to make weight like broner. Not a good sign for him to be this young and struggling with weight. He's too tiny for me to see him being effective moving up in weight. He is NOT floyd get's hit too much despite not even facing the best at his weight class yet.
