That's not the situation at all with Davis. But it was still a huge **** move by Mayweather. No denying that.
Ok but you've got to be a real ******* to judge someone on missing weight one time ( approximately 2% of their fights) after having been off for 2 years.

Here comes 135lbs and 140lbs for Gevonta next?

Gervonta will move up in weight next fight and squeezing to 130lbs is not feasible for a growing boy.

I can't remember the last time a boxer missed by such a small amount.
John Murray was stripped of a British title for being 2 ounces overweight a few years ago.

I agree it's a small amount but you either make weight or you don't.

Davis has made it now anyway. So fair play to him. A bit of adversity for him in addition to the fight itself.

I think Davis and his team including Floyd have shown inexperience coming over so late. Needed to give themselves a few weeks at least.

They clearly think Walsh is crap and that time difference doesn't mean a thing or have any impact on the body.

Davis has apparently never been outside of America prior to all the promos etc. It is a road that is still less travelled for Americans.

It does look like the young man has had to deal with a few bumps in the road here. Makes the fight more interesting for the neutral I guess.

Does he still have time to make the weight?
Is there an upper limit on the number of times he can attempt to make weight? Or is as often as he wants in 2 hours?
They reported he made it on the 3rd try.

I don't think there is an innocent construction here, Mayweather's weight was 146, exactly 2 pounds over the catchweight. To me that shows he never intended to make the catchweight and never even tried. Wasn't he basically showboating about it?

Ok. Thanks. I had never heard any amount so small but kagami posted the difference between USA and England regarding rounding up.

I'm just glad Davis made weight.

I get your point I just think it's crazy that 2% shapes the view more than 98% making weight does, especially given the time off.

Shouldn't your hopes also be up though? I mean if you're an actual boxing fan, not just a fanboy, then shouldn't we all hope for the rules to be enforced fairly? Plus, Tank doesn't seem willing to fight the best at this point in his career anyway, so wouldn't it be better to have guys fighting for that belt who are willing to challenge Lomachenko and the best fighters in the division?

I mean, if you're a boxing fan... not sure you are though... let's see what you respond with... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt until I see...
