  • Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury Date Set 18th April 2018 Wembley Stadium

According to Fury Hearn has contacted him and already booked Wembley Stadium for the MEGA fight on 18th April 2018.

Tyson no longer has a promoter so Eddie has also alluded that he may sign Fury if Fury willing to join Matchroom.

    Tyson Fury:

"It gives me motivation that a lot of poeple have picked him to beat me but, as I have said many times, we are in a sport that is called sweet science, not a bodybuilding contest or a strong man competition.
"When you can't box and move, slip and slide and ride shots, and one man can, it is an easy fight.

"I will give him a boxing lesson and he will get so tired of chasing me around, trying to land big punches and missing all the time, I would stop him in the late half of the fight.

"Klitschko almost done him in round six. He was gone. Round five he was fatigued, round six he got plastered and had to crawl off the canvas. He was getting outboxed.

"He was landing big shots easy but I ain't 41, I am 28. I will be 29 next year when the fight happens.

That doesn't make any sense at all. I'm not even sure Fury will be back in the ring in the first place.

Hearn just covering his bases I would say. Could certainly have a few guys as possibilities for a fight at Wembley. But my god, Fury's voice is terrible, sounds like someone who's been smoking for the last 40 years

I think Eddie called him and whispered the amount the money he will pay Fury for this fight.

If Eddie can sign Fury and keep this in house.. Both fighters will get a ridiculous amount. This fight will smash AJ vs Vlad numbers by a long shot.

I know.. he sounds fatter than he looks. If Eddie promised him upwards of 30million I reckon that would motivate him to get in shape.. but I'm not holding my breath. Wembley is already booked.. If fury doesn't make it.. I want Wilder vs AJ.

            I hope not.

I would rather see Joshua vs Wilder

That is the "FIGHT" at Heavyweight!

Wembley cant be booked yet, Tottenham are playing there next season and the fixtures arent done yet. Same reason theyre looking at Wales for the Klitschko fight

A lot will depend on Klitschko's decision and the subsequent reaction by the governing bodies. A lot of different directions that this could go for Joshua's next few fights

Well he's lining up Joshua for whoever more than Fury I'm betting. Fury is just the ideal guy at the moment.

As much as I like Fury & am rooting for him I think he could f#ck up his career greatly between where his career at today vs where it could be at in April 2018 so its almost silly for Hearn to invest much into Joshua vs Fury right now.

I'm not buying the "date set" thing. Probably no more than a goal.

Also, WTF is up with his voice there? Sounds like he's 30 years older and just gargled with glass shards.
