Diaz often gets mentioned in top 10 147 pound lists... but this fight doesn't generate much interest for some reason...
Because Crawford is a top 5 147 himself fighting at 140. Because Lucas Matthysse did Lamont Peterson worse than Diaz did and Crawford already shut out the guy who beat matthysse (even if he only beat him because he reinjured Matthysse's old eye injury, it was still a competitive fight). Because he hasn't shown knockout power and it will be difficult to outbox Crawford. Because old Luis Collazo did Sammy Vargas worse than Diaz could.
Hell Luis Collazo would probably be borderline top 10 at 147 just because it's not super deep or anything past the top 7 or so guys, does that mean Crawford-Collazo is some great fight?
Plus the height, speed, and power advantages in this fight all go to Crawford. A bit unbalanced matchmaking no?
