Comments Thread For: Bellew: Kell Brook Can Beat Errol Spence, But it Won't Be Easy

Former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew knows what it's like to pull off a major upset. Back in March, he moved up to the heavyweight division to stop heavily favored David Haye in eleven rounds. On May 27th, Bellew's good friend, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOs), will defend his belt as the underdog when he takes on unbeaten Errol Spence (21-0, 18 KOs) at Bramall Lane in Sheffield.

    Can't wait for this one.

Interested to see if it'll be a war or a technical match up. Best fight of 2017 so far!

... I guess that Brook would look to keep it at the distance and at a "technical" level as much as possible... but he will also have to wrestle... (but I wonder if Spence's left hook matches GGG's in terms of power...)

This fight should be getting way more hype than it is. From a competitive standpoint, this should be THE fight of 2017, and a crossroads fight for both fighters. I honestly can't even believe they made this fight, and it's actually happening.

I can't see Spence being ****** enough to try and bum rush Brook in same way GGG and Porter did. He'll know Brook is good enough to catch him on the way in and give him angles. Great fight either way!

              Easy enough win for Spence

Brook is one of those fighters who does everything well but nothing fantastic.

Also big weight cut and been bashed up by GGG in a cynical cash grab.

I see Errol closing brook down and taking him out in round 9 or 10 after a knockdown or two along the way.

Easy work for spence and a silent bramall lane crowd

I tip Spence to win by KO because I don't see him winning by decision in UK. Brook is not easy because of His experience and his ability to fight going backward.

Lol of course it doesn't don't be silly.

I'm not sure a dog fight favours Spence at all.

I would say...Spences left hook at 147 and with 8 ounce gloves is the equivalent to Trips left hook at 160 and with 10 ounce gloves. Spence can crack.

I also see a dog fight favoring the younger Spence as he will have more stamina in the later rounds. It would also mask any technical advantages Brook may have due to the gap in experience between the two.
