Why would anyone not in the fight have to come up with an excuse? Everyone is wrong sometimes with their picks. No one who loves boxing bats 1.000.

I truly believe that Canelo will win the fight and Canelo should get all the credit that he deserves,

But if GGG win, there won't be any excuse from me and I will give credit where credit is due.

It would be a good win, nothing that would make him great. Why make excuses? Canelo is a good fighter, not some an ATG, and he's fought all his career below 160.

Same goes for Canelo, if he beats Golovkin. They are both good fighters, nothing more.
