LAS VEGAS - Two-time world heavyweight champion John "The Quietman" Ruiz (41-6-1, 28 KOs) is the World Boxing Association's No. 1 contender according to its latest ratings. Does this have to do with him being a former WBA champ who made defenses?

No....it has to do with his being in bed with Don King, who has been in bed with the WBA for years.
John Ruiz should have never been any kind of "champion" to begin with......he should retire.

He's proven to be just as good as the other champs who have belts, and considering how the 1st fight with Valuev went, he certainly deserves a rematch.
