    Miranda turns down Calzaghe fight...

"We talked to the guy who beat Howard Eastman [Edison Miranda] and his management said yes, but then he turned down the fight."

Calzaghe was philosophical about the delay, saying: "I've been through it before.

"Maybe people are thinking twice after seeing my last performance against Jeff Lacy."

Joe needs to get serious and fight someone like Kessler. So far Joe is taking a page from Bernard's post-Tito notebook.

        Not good.

I gotta admit it.. I was impressed by Calzaghe. I never seen him fight. Of course i went with Lacy to win. But if i seen Calzaghe fight i would have chosen him.

Calzaghe is good. He is a threat.

If Miranda didn't have the Abraham deal in the works he probably would have taken the fight (if the money was right). He's gonna have an easier fight with Abraham and there's a much bigger future at middleweight than moving up to try to win a Super Middleweight belt.

Edison Miranda would get ****d by Joe. Who the fk is Miranda? Hes just beaten one worthy opponent. The rest have been trash. Miranda might be a star in the future if he takes it slowly. If these 2 fought today, Miranda would get KOed in the early rounds. Even Mger Mkrtchyan would KO the **** out of Miranda.

Not sure if this Story is true or not cause their ant no link,
But its a good move for both in my eyes, Miranda a good boxer he lookd good vs Eastman but again Eastman had Miranda worried in a few off them rounds,
Miranda needs 2 beat Abraham first i believe he still very raw and if u placed him in their with a boxer like Calzaghe he could get messd up

Calzaghe has only fought one top notch opponent and even then Lacy wasnt top notch he was still considered an amateur in my eyes because he himself hadnt been against a top caliber opponent. Lacy was young and immature as a fighter give him a few more years he will be something else but all Calzaghe did was use his experience to win and now he wants to call out opponents he knows he will beat like RJJ, Tarver and B-Hop he's a ****ing bum and always will be except in the eyes of the Brits(no offense) until he fights someone actually in their prime or worthy of fighting.
