Stevenson has to have one of the worse management groups ever on how they killed his momentum. With Emmanuel passing and then winning the belt, the guy could wrote his own ticket. But greed and bad management will make you a champion who no one cares about, as Stevenson is now.

I'm so split on my opinion of Stevenson. On one hand, I kinda despise the guy. He keeps making these claims without having fought anybody decent since winning the title. (Fonfara is ok). His title run is so garbage its not even funny. And its been 4 years!! But on the other hand, Stevenson vs. any top 10 LHW is a match that I really wanna see. I'm hoping Kovalev beats Ward because I think that will be a great fight. Two big power punchers. That fight excites me as much as the build up to Kovalev-Ward did. And as much as I liked that fight and think Ward is a better boxer than Stevenson, I think the Kovalev-Stevenson fight would be much better. If Kovalev loses, I don't think we will ever see that fight. Stevenson will just say he won't fight him because he doesn't have any titles.

I'm with you on that but, if Kovalev wins (I don't think he will though!), I don't think that Stevenson will fight him.

The Stevenson Defense Force has been reduced to like three posters Most of them abandoned ship long ago once they realized that he's a joke.

To make bigger fights, you need to give more sometimes, at least when they're worth it financially like Pascal in Canada, especially when you're a big power puncher who is a physical risk to fight like Stevenson is. GGG gave Jacobs more than 30% to get Jacobs in the ring even though the WBA ruled he was only entitled to 25% as you said. Kovalev gave Ward more than 30% to get Ward in the ring. If Stevenson would have given Pascal 35% or 40%, he still would have made more money than fighting no names giving them 30%, and Pascal should be an easy fight now after the beatings he's taken so why wouldn't Stevenson do that?

Whether you want to call Stevenson a ducker, or just a bad businessman who doesn't understand spending money (giving away higher splits) to make money (grow your fanbase with better wins and bigger fights like Pascal in Canada so you can demand higher purses in the future), all that matters from our perspectives, as fans, is that he doesn't care about the fans, and he doesn't care about fighting the best, and he doesn't care about his legacy. If you're not willing to give up a few extra percentage points to give the fans the fights they want and build your legacy, name, and brand, like GGG and Kovalev both did, hell, even like Canelo just did, then why should the fans give a **** about you? Why would any fan (looking at YOU) support a fighter like that?
