    Paul Williams Likes Hearns Comparison

Los Angeles, – The comparisons are almost unavoidable. Standing a strong and lanky 6-foot-1 and 147 pounds with knockout power in both hands, unbeaten Paul Williams (29-0, 21 KOs) is being viewed by many as boxing’s next Thomas Hearns. [details]

Every tall, semi-powerful guy is compared to Hearns.
Every tall, lean guy is told by people in the gym "You should fight like Tommy Hearns". No ****, if someone could fight like Thomas Hearns....don't you think they would ?

Paul Williams will never reach Hearns' level. He's tall.....he's decent.....end of comparison.

        Yes....a # of times.
I've seen plenty of Hearns fights.
Williams is no Thomas Hearns. Williams is good, yes.......but it's not even fair to him to compare him to Hearns.

Fair play...Do you think this guy could beat Margarito though? He said that Margarito was saying no one is willing to fight him...he said he is willing to fight Tony.

He is a tall Welter with some skills, what do you think?

He could possibly beat Maragrito. Margarito may be made to order for a tall, quick, lefty like Williams.
At the same time, Williams won't have the big height advantage over A.M. that he does everyone else.
Don't know if Paul is built tough enough to take what A.M. dishes- power & pressure-wise.

He does have a 2 inch advantage...

he is fighting a pressure fighter tommorow, who has some power, lets see how well he performs against him

That's not as much of an advantage as he is used to......

The thing that troubles me about Williams is the chicken legs. I've said that before, but still I want to see him get rocked just to see how he handles it.
