KO’s come in many flavours. Often they’re caused by fast lateral movement on the apex of the jaw: the chin. It flicks the head which results in the brain accelerating in the surrounding fluid and then coming to immediate halt. But, any sudden head trauma can result in a loss of stability (which can be ruled as a KO). Gradual concussion from the brain repeatedly ****ing against the skull is common, as is discombobulation form the ear fluids being pressurised by a punch.

True my point is just that it is commonly either a fighters will succumbing, or sudden trauma to the brain. The chin doesn't hurt when a person gets knocked out, their brain activity is interrupted. You can break a mans jaw (ala Ali Frazier, Ortiz riverside rocky) and they can continue to fight several rounds. Being put to sleep has nothing to do with bones (chin, jaw, etc), but rather the aforementioned trauma
