Valero was very good at knocking opponents out. He never beat anybody even close to as good as Mayweather. He isn't in Mayweather's class. Mayweather would box his ears of and win a one sided UD in my opinion.

Logic says easy UD for Floyd Mayweather, but anything could happen in boxing, Castillo gave Floyd a lot of problems at 135 and he wasn't that much better than Valero either but Valero was a southpaw so that makes things a bit more challenging, Valero also had a great chin and tremendous power at that weight so I wouldn't be surprised if someone picked Valero to be competitive, but I'd say Floyd outboxes him for 12 rounds easy.
