im getting mixed messages. seen it said a few times on here, 'canelo isnt smaller, size =weight' well that wasnt what you were saying when he fought brook, was saying that it was all about 'gggs middleweight frame'. Cant be arsed to get the pictures but when brook and golovkin were face to face they looked more similar size wise than canelo and golovkin do. So you use size difference to completely disregard the brook win but apparantly it doesnt matter too much with canelo? Which is it?
how come brook was too small but canelo isnt?

Because Canelo is unquestionably naturally larger than Brook. It's not even close.
Brook was able to make 147 in his fight before GGG and will make 147 in the fight afterwards. Canelo has been squeezing his body to make 155, and hasn't been small enough to make 147 in years.
Canelo is a P4P ranked fighter much closer in size to GGG, it'd be a much bigger win than Brook.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 05-14-2017, 05:06 AM. -

Canelo is bigger. Canelo almost killed himself making 154 for Liam Smith, he only did it because it was Liam Smith and he needed an excuse to get out of the MW division at the time. Canelo's natural/ideal weight now is Middleweight, he can probably make 154 killing himself but probably even worse now.
Brook's ideal weight is probably 154 but he can make 147 with a struggle.
There's easily a full weight division in natural size difference between the two, maybe a bit more..Comment

I don't know what people are telling you, but Canelo is definitely bigger than Brook. As mentioned above, Canelo could barely make the jr. MW limit, and will likely be at his best physically now fighting at the full MW limit.
Kell Brook is a huge WW, but he's probably at his best at 154 lbs, a weight Canelo can barely boil down to.Comment
