I would say Canelo is a paper champ. Not, because he's a "bum", but because he hasn't fought at 154 for 2 or 3 years prior, win a belt in a one off fight, hasn't defended it, and doesn't seem like he'll ever defend it. It was just a trinket to pick up and hold on to for a while

Ricky Burns before he got dethroned
      Joseph Parker
Vasyl Lomanchenko...at least so far in terms of quality opposition

Its easier to name the non-bum champions. There should only be 1 champion in a division & there are 4 & sometimes 5 in certain divisions. So about 75% of "champions" are bum ass bs champions.

F#ck man I think in this bs title belt era you can even go from a non-bum champ to a bum champ like I think Stevenson & Canelo did in recent years by fighting poor competition or avoiding their best competition.

Does Canelo still hold the wbo at 154?

Burns at 135? Thats bs. Burns was a very good, top lw. He was probably the best in the division at one point. Also an exceptional 130 pounder too. His time at 140 can be regarded as bum though.

Loma? Not now, maybe a while back but certainly not after humiliating Walters and doing a job on Sosa.

I dont necessarily mean guys hwo hold belts but guys hwo hold belts and do nothing with them. How long has Wilder been champ? He has 0 world class defences. BJA has one defence in 2 years and that against a bum. Abraham fought on beyond the super six in the bush leagues, etc.

                As a huge Canelo fan
I can't really disagree with that statement

                He's knocking out GGG though

To my knowledge, he does. Before posting, I checked a list of current champs, and it lists Canelo as WBO 154 champ. I just now googled "Canelo vacated WBO belt" and got nothing. I can't imagine he would vacate wht amounts to a guaranteed mandatory to BJS MW title
