The hometown fighter (21-3) landed two left hooks in the 10th round which sent the defending champion crumbling through the ropes. Holy ****, no pressure then... Carl fought everyone in the division showing he wasn't afraid to lose. Not many people in boxing come out with a resume the likes of Froch or Ward.

I guess you can say he ducked GGG, but to be honest he was at the end of his career and had been in some serious wars, so I personally let that slide.

Not sure how far Eggington will go but it's a great achievement so far for a guy who basically went into the pro ranks to be a journeyman and earn an extra bit of money for his family.

The Egg sort of looks like something out of Trainspotting.

Some story though as has been mentioned he only wanted to be a journeyman. He'll definitely fight for a world title at the very least and certainly be able to buy his own house outright etc. I wish I could do that, lol.

You guys are crazy, Eggington doesn't have a chance in hell of beating any remotely big names. One dimensional fighter with zero defensive skills. Calling him the next Froch is an insult to Carl.
