People gave Jacobs way too much credit for competitiveness. He did very well, much better than I expected, but there's no way he won more than 6 rounds. Golovkin clearly had issues but I see people giving Jacobs rounds where Golovkin CLEARLY outlanded him and had the better round.

To me, no, I wasn't surprised. I think I could see all the variables coming into play here.

I said before the fight that it would be a close 7-5 fight and that people would ask for a rematch. Exactly what happened. Golovkin is more skilled than Jacobs but Jacobs being almost 2 inches taller, with more reach and weight, played a role. Jacobs was a Super MW that night.
