Chavez jr on his best day will still be a punching bag for Canelo. There's levels to this. People saying he didn't throw punches.. yeah because every time he did he ate counters in return. Canelo took his soul.. then strippers took his money.

Nobody blasts Oscar for doing this to all canelo's opponents, chavez couldn't punch his muscle was gone he could of been killed staying in there for 12 rounds but he took everything canelo hit him with that's a warrior, knowing he can't hurt canela but stayed in anyway

Of course it did look like a sparring session or even worse, but Chavez Jr did train very hard to make the weight limit to get the paycheck. I'm sure he tried but was just a walking zombie with the weight loss. It just looked terrible though, as if, in the ring, he never tried to press the action or maybe rush at Canelo and just try something different. Either he should retire or rather try to redeem himself with a real entertaining brawl at super middleweight or light heavyweight.
