I think Porter rough houses him to death similar to the Berto fight. Matthysse needs space to really operate and Porter will not give it to him and I don't think Matthysse at this point can really handle the sort of stuff Porter does.

Put it this way people complained about the way Garcia fouled Matthysse and how that effected that fight, but Porter is on a whole other plane of dirty boxing than Garcia and that was a younger more determined Matthysse.

Terrible match-up for Matthysse at this point but Porter is bad for most guys really.

This would be a good fight. I'll go with Porter.

Styles make fights and I feel that Porter's style is a horrible and nightmare for everyone hence why I rate Brook and Thurman so highly. Porter's chin is solid so unless Lucas lands flush Porter probably decisions him in a rough fight. But imll be supporting my boy Lucas all the way

You need movement, timing, and accuracy to beat Porter. Right now the only thing Matthysse can offer are those clubbing punches to the back of the head. Porter would get medieval on Matthysse.

Exactly. Matts has developed a propensity for cuts, and might get his eye re-injured. If Matts doesn't hurt Porter early and keep him honest, it would turn into a REALLY hard fight. This would turn into a test of character, a fight that would win back all the credibility he lost against Garcia and Postol.

Yea I would be really impressed if Matthysse won that sort of hard fought battle. If he knocked him out early I would be impressed too but more so if Matthysse had to really dig deep.
