I think you're misunderstanding me. I think there is less "conspiracy" or whatever here is the thing I guess. I think "the media" & "the people" influence each other. People like to read, watch & listen to certain types of stories & the media tries to do the stories that the people like to read, watch & listen to or in more risk taking way assume that people will read, watch or listen to a story that they feel is compelling enough to be read, watched or listened to without proof of concept yet & they tweak things off of how that new type of story was read, watched or listened to or not.
I don't think enough people care about Ward. That's why Ward doesn't get mentioned a lot in any regard by more mainstream people. I mean I could probably make a graph showing the concern for anything Ward-related going down the more mainstream the news source to nearly no f#cks given. That's not the case for GGG. That's just how it is for some cats.
Look at Klitschko. Klitschko couldn't even get a HBO fight for the longest time as THE undisputed HW champion of the world cuz no one gave a f#ck about him in the US. He was boring to watch & just didn't capture fans imagination in the US. That's just how things go sometimes.
Well first off P4P is the ******est thing smart boxing fans talk about. P4P is to smart boxing fans what ducking is to dumb boxing fans.

But Fat Dan does & doesn't write about a lot of things. And Ward vs GGG seemed to be a fight on the table for about 12 seconds anyway between guys in two different divisions who've never left their divisions (at the time) so it wasn't a fight that caught much attention except from the Ward & GGG fanboys who are the dumbest fans of both guys.
Well cuz Canelo was gaming the system kinda with the 155 thing. And fair play he COULD game the system like all popular fighters like he is can, but that fight always made more sense since they were in the same division.
And cmon lets not act like fighters don't say all kinda of crazy sh^t to hype themselves. I mean it says everything that the biggest criticism GGG had gotten up til recently was about him not fighting in any of 3 different weight divisions. Virtually no one in boxing is every criticized for not fighting in more than 1 division so that says something about your talent & respect level that's that where people gotta go to downplay your accomplishments &/or abilities. I remember when Floyd & Manny were downplayed by some fans for similar reasons.
Sh^t man that's how it works. The more entertaining, interesting or just fun to be around the more leeway you tend to get with people. This is standard sh^t all day long. The fun guy at work you'll let get away with more than the boring guy at work you hate to be around.
GGG is more likeable than Ward. That's just how it is. Ward should go join a support group with Klitschko or just be more f#cking interesting.
why hasn't there been more Max Kellerman types in a Dan Rafael to head on ask GGG about Ward?

Forget the future, this fight will never happen, but how come Dan never wrote about it to question Gennady's p4p ambition?

It's a safe question and good a debate for our sport. Why did people get so sensitive about Ward vs GGG, yet get heated when a down souther (nelo) in weights makes promises to boxing fans to go up in 1-2 years time, but still gets hammered vs a guy who has been mocking the integrity of competitive challenges ala 154-168 is easy?

It's one of boxing's most direct double standards that Gandolf the Great gives permission to troll the fanboys
