Golovkin had to do the weigh-in even if Jacobs told Golovkin and the IBF he wasn't fighting for the title. It's in the IBF rules.

If one fighter refuses then its a moot point. I like the rule because too many weight bullies like Canelo and Charlo and Spence are packing on ridiculous weight after the weigh in and the ibf makes the match more equal. Weight is everything. Same day weigh ins need to back in to effect.

Kovalev isnt as thick as Canelo. I met Kovalev twice and he is pretty lean. He was underweight last fight vs Ward and was overtrained and didn't rehydrate. Im 6'2 190 and kov was 2 inches shorter than me and roughly 190.

Canelo is a stocky guy. Very compact thick guy. Easily weighs 185 walking around. He is about 5'8 the same exact ht as floyd.
