Who has Russell beaten? An over the hill Gonzalez?? Russel's record is padded as **** with a bunch of cab drivers! The time he stepped up he got schooled by Loma. I think it'll be a good fight between Russell and Diaz. Same goes for Valdez and Diaz.

I'm sold on Jojo he's passed every test with flying colors he ready for his title shot. He's top ranked by 3 of the 4 belt orgs and number 1, 2 contender for the WBO and WBC respectively. Valdez and Russell hold those belts. But now comes the politics all the belts at his weight are held by rival promoters outside of golden boy. None will fight him unless they mandated. He's too dangerous to beat them and not a big enough name to justify the risk vs reward. They rather fight a bigger name or easier opponent. But Jojo can't become a big name until he gets a belt.

So now it's a game to see who golden boy can get him mandated against first. He beat Valdez in the 2011 amateur world champions both turned pro in 2012 and been on a collision course since a fight fans would love to see both Mexican but arum has a lot invested in Valdez. He will find a away to delay that fight. My guess has always been Russell is who he gets a shot at first. Only knock on jojo is he dont have a lot of power he will out class you with hand speed and timing but doesn't have 1 punch power.
