After the performance he put in against GGG, Jacobs deserves to fight Sanders.

"Saunders doesn't mention me". Why would he?

High risk, low reward. Plus, Saunders is inline to fight the Canelo/G winner. He'll fight tick over bouts until a big payday happens.

Why Would Sanders Aim for Low Money, No Title Having, Guy Who Just Lost

Why the hell would Sanders Squander a title shot voluntary on Suanders instead of Canelo and GGG winner!

Jacobs claim to fame is surviving GGG 12 rounds and riding the wave of anti-GGG, some of which is prevalent in the media. He pushed the fight back hoping to keep GGG inactive. Demanded no rematch clause. Had GGG rest five times while who knows if Jacobs tested or when, after. Blew past the IBF morning weigh in. Reportedly rehydrated 20-25 pounds and had 10-15 pounds on his opponent. Got hurt three or four times. Tasted the canvas while not even stunning his opponent with anything lasting.

Jacobs should be lucky he got GGG when he had a lot to lose and fought carefully. GGG clearly wasn't going for the kill. On a few occasions he littlerally held back firing on wide open Jacobs. It's legit to debate why!

I've never heard a coherent explanation from anyone that actually watched the fight closely, really watched it, not just full speed live, that could explain why Jacobs deserved 7 rounds he needed to win.

The only thing people use, which is funny because it's mostly Floyd and Ward fans, is the so-called power punch count--the same compustat punch count for years they've trashed.

Anyone who watches the fight closely should quickly realize the way Jacobs was throwing his punches were as affective as most jabs, while GGG's jabs were pounding Jacobs face left and right.

GGG used the jab to control the fight, and landed numerous power shots that hurt Jacobs at least three times, leaving him woofing, one knocking him down. Jacobs did land a few shots, but never sustained and the majority of his punches landed softly or on the gloves, and even when Jacobs landed it never stopped Golovkin from coming at him.

Jacobs just did too much back tracking. Too much holding. And not enough actually agression. And that was a mistake. GGG should have won 8-4 with the KD. He won 7-5 with the KD. That's competitive, but not a robbery or even controversial. He owes Jacobs nothing. Jacobs gave him a good fight, had every advantage, but lost a clear but competitive fight.

Jacobs should go best some top MW and get back into contention because GGG owes him zero, and he's not a star enough to get Suanders. Next time he fights GGG he better be ready to see K2 grab every advantage and damn sure make sure he's not gaming them. No mandatory and purse bid to use this time.

Oh, and Suanders did Mention Jacobs

When Suanders thought he was going to get GGG, he warned that he was better than Jacobs.

That's the only reason Jacobs has, because certainly isn't for money or a title.

danny just needs to be patient...take a good fight while hes waiting and win it....if ggg beats canelo i think even the golovkin media shills will demand he give jacobs a rematch...it would be a sensible fight to make

Jacobs was clearly happy he survived the fight. Being American he knew he'd have the anti-ggg crowd rising his nuts regardless.

At the same time because he lost (officially) you could also make the case (if you're Saunders) that a fight with him would be pointless.

I hate to say it but he might have to start somewhere towards the bottom and work his way up again.
He unofficially what, won. Pfft! According to what criteria, bring American and going 12 with Golovkin. Certain wasn't qualify of punches landed, damage of punches, number of punches, Who controlled who, who got knocked down and who did.

                8-4 is generous.

"being an american he knew he'd have the anti ggg crowd on his nuts"

arent you the same type of guy that talks about how ggg is some huge star in the US....

who exactly are these anti ggg guys that are all over jacobs nuts now? nobody knows who jacobs is save for the 300-500 hardcore fans that post on boxing forums....u think jacobs was really counting on them? lol

you do realize most of the anti ggg crowd actually respects kovalev and loma? see thats what most of you cant fathom....you think if you hate on ggg you must be racially or nationally motivated....ggg is hated on for the big words he speaks and ducking ward....and chasing a guy with no wins at MW...and fighting a WW after making fun of someone else...its not because he isnt american or hes white....its how his career is handled.....i consider myself a golovkin hater but have the utmost respect for kova and loma......its a hard reality for someone with your feabile brain to swallow

For you you go that hard on one word out of everything else I wrote tells me you're a little insecure with that win.

I'll give you the KD but that's about it. I thought Jacobs had the edge in quality or punches. It was atleast even because they both had their moments. I just happen to see more from Jacobs. Even the KD was more from their feet getting tangled than from a punch. I saw Jacobs control the fight with his directional movement. It looked like Golovkin was guessing the whole fight on where Jacobs would end up. That's why you didn't see him be as aggressive because his timing was affected by the movement. I don't judge a fight by who looked more damaged that's amateur hour. I certainly don't go off the punch stats. The reason I said officially I'd because quite a few people saw it for Jacobs but none of these people can dispute that the judges scored the fight for Golovkin. Before you accuse me of being biased, I predicted Golovkin would win by late KO.
