This will not cut it as "food" for me:

Egg whites are fantastic, they should be a staple. You just buy ready made boiled eggs in a 10kg tub and remove the yolk. 5 Egg whites and 3 whole eggs for breakfast is the business.

How many really great fighters with long successful careers were in the habit of starving themselves to near death for weight advantages?

Not a rhetorical question. Wondering off someone knows some history on the subject and when this really became the norm.

Man, that sure does look healthy whether you're trying to stay in shape or not. Btw a meal doesn't have to be "filling" to get you "filled." No **** doe.

That is a really good question, but a tough one to answer because most boxers do not routinely volunteer that information. An indirect way might be to figure out which boxers gain the most between the weigh-in and fight time -- both percentage and absolute weight. Arturo Gatti comes to mind, but there are many others.

Sprinkle some granola on it for fiber and call that the master piece.

You really need to take a deep breath and gather your thoughts.

Chavez Jr and Canelo are both notorious for starving themselves to have a weight advantage. Which is why I posted the question in a thread about a fight between the two of them.

What part is confusing or upsetting you?
