Comments Thread For: Abel Sanchez: Golovkin Will Have Too Much For Canelo

Abel Sanchez, trainer of IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs), expects his man to overcome anything that Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs) brings to the table. The fight is signed, sealed and delivered - and scheduled to take place on September 16th as part of Mexican Independence Day weekend.

Everyone's on Canelo's balls right now, but the truth is that Canelo doesnt have the power to push Golovkin away neither the IQ to outbox triple gift.

Edit: Point made, everyone below is on Canelo's balls vvvvvvvv

Canelo speed and uppercuts will be too much for GGG.

this is going to be clear cut decision for canelo. 8-4 type ****. maybe even 9-3. his speed and accuracy will just be too much for golovkin. there's levels to this and little g has never faced somebody with the skill set of canelo. canelo will not lose to anybody who got outboxed by danny jacobs of all people. it just won't happen.

In other news, Canelo's trainers say their fighter will have too much for GGG.

I wonder what the fighters parents think, maybe that can be the next article.

alvared is really going to get smacked upside his head again in this one. we saw him fall apart in the mayweather fight. this time the shots are coming like bricks.

Can't wait for GGG to beat this two dollar rag doll around the ring.

When exactly has Canelo shown levels. His best win was against Lara, which arguably an easier fight than Jacobs and without the huge size discrepancy. I'm not saying Canelo isn't good but he's something of a smoke screen. His opponents have gotten worse and worse and so it looks like he's gotten better and better. GGG has shown his levels with Jacobs and Lemiuex.
