People are not being boxing fans anymore....

They don't care if there is corruption, there is unfair judges, unfair refs, blatant fouls, breaking the rules. As long as their guy wins, its okay for them so that they could say "I told you so..." to the other side of the spectrum.

They don't want an even playing field, for the fighters for the sake of their favorite fighter winning the fight, even if there was corruption involved, fouling involved, incompetence/corruption of referee's involved. They just don't care as long as their fighters got the win.

yeah man look at larry and dunn....they cool with their boy holding up fights (aka letting them marinate) until all these guys can't bust a g**** anymore, and try to pass it off as something special...as long as their boy won they will sit here and give you lame excuse after lame excuse and pass it off as logic...

I agree. There're a lot of nutthugging fanboys, idol worshippers running around. That's sickening.

The worst fan base by far is canelos those guys don't know a lick about boxing and make the most excuses possible to why canelo ducked and are now looking in dilusional ways to say anything Is a excuse if they don't agree with it. Then of coarse wards fan base which is pretty much the same group and they wouldn't know how to score a fight if they're life depended on it.

Both those insecure fanbases are much worse than PAC and Floyds ever were.

What's worse is that they have become fans of certain promoters, coaches and networks now, which is an extension of their cheerleading for certain fighters. Never thought I'd see the day where fans are defending the honor of Haymon, Arum, Golden Boy, etc., or arguing over HBO and SHO.

The real problem is fans of the most popular fighters on NSB- Manny, Matthysse, Kov (and some others)-have a hard time dealing with it when their fighter loses.

These fans talk a TON of shit before the fight because they expect their guy to win. Cool. Then when they lose, they make a ton of excuses and don't give credit to the guy that won. That's pathetic.

This would stop if guys could just admit their guy lost to a better fighter. Look at what just happened with wlad/AJ. Wlad acted with class in defeat. Most of his fans were classy in defeat. So he nor they got a ton of crap afterwards.

Now look at the way the fans of the fighters I mentioned before acted toward Garcia, Ward, JMM and Floyd.

yeah **** that. Only if they somehow are related to the promoters or are working for them, I can understand it to an extent. But I dont know how you can go on a boxing forum and only talk about network ratings and boxing business, A-side, b-side. wtf, start talking about boxing.
Participating occasionally on these topics is ok, but there are some poster who exclusively talk about numbers and ratings.

AJ seems to be letting the Wilder fight marinate.

Look how long Brook danced around Spence Jr.
