          It's not even that JCC Jr is lying, fighters could very well be telling the truth in post fight interviews about weight. But they wait until after the fight and lie to the fans and media about their successful weight training before the fight. Everyone knows Chavez Jr killed himself to make 164lbs.
          This happens in every sport and you should know this. "I'm 100% after such and such surgery." But once they get on the field/court it's a whole different story.

          It's gonna happen in boxing more cause it's an individual sport and ticket sales depend on each fighter. In a team sport, if one player is injured is not that big of a deal cause the rest of the team still there. Ticket sales won't suffer as much unless the missing player is the superstar of the team.
