Well that's it for Canelo's chances. His trainers come into this fight thinking Golovkin has no defense they will be in for a rude awakening. Canelo is built like a power puncher but the kid doesn't have it.

AT 154 and 155 Canelo's punches are thudding you can hear them even through sound of the camera. But at 160+ his punches were slapping Chavez except for maybe the 2 really big clean punches he landed throughout the whole fight. So either Chavez was either too big for Canelo's punches to affect him at that weight or Canelo just isn't a big puncher above 160. Because Canelo pounded Jr but at no point in the fight did I think Jr was in danger of getting KO'ed by Canelo after Canelo landed his biggest punch that rocked Jr for a second but that's about it..

But honestly, it probably comes from the kid talking a lot of trash last May and then vacating his title saying he wasn't a Middleweight.

That tends to make fans angry.
It took ggg an entire career to take his first real challenge, are you also hating on him???

More like it took a while for some of them to step up like Canelo who needed an extra 2 years to grow into his body lol.

I'm no Golovkin fan but I call a spade a spade, the boys in the middleweight division didn't want any part of him from Strum to Martinez.

Canelo is facing his first real puncher while Golovkin has faced 2 or 3 of them.

Golovkin boxing skills exposed by Jacobs and Brook, the only thing that got him those two wins was his power (Brooks eye and Jacobs knockdown) outside of that Golovkin isn't special but a hard puncher. I can't wait for Canelo to beat lil g strings ass just like Garcia did to Matthyse and ended the hype.
