    Hatton vs. Margarito

am i missing something regarding why this fight shouldn't happen? i don't think i've ever seen it mentioned but it seems like it would be incredibly exciting and it's 2 guys both gunning for mayweather. they may as well clash to decide the better opponent to fight mayweather?

my sincerest apologies if this has been brought up a million times and i just missed it.

i'd love to see that fight, but it could ruin the loser's chances of fighting mayweather, so i don't see it happening in the near future.

I would love to see this fight but I don't think Hatton's PPL would have him in with PBF or Margorito in the next few fight's. IMO Hatton would probably loose this fight and won't mess up future payday's without making the big bucks. At this point in time AM doesn't hold enough clout with the casual fan for it to not be to risky for team Hatton's liking. If they could have made it happen I would have loved the winner to face PBF assuming he beats Oscar, and if Oscar and Margorito won maybe Arum and Oscar could put aside there differences and have an Oscar/Margorito Mexican megafight. Then Oscar could go out giving AM his chance like Chavez gave him his.

Of course HATTON's ppl will not do it. A loss will put an abrupt end into Hatton's aspirations of making it big here in U.S.

Hatton's decission to get back down and fight at 140 says it all. He knows he can't be competitive at 147 as he is at 140.

I'm not seeing what all the big hype about Ricky Hatton is at welterweight. I'm new here too so not sure if this was posted elsewhere but Antonio Margarito IMO would murder Ricky Hatton. Hatton's not gonna get away with punching and holding with this guy. Margarito is nearly 6'0 and Hatton is barely 5'6 , the size difference alone is huge. Hatton barely made it past Collazo and IMO should stay well clear ( at least for now ) away from the bigger welterweights. I dont even think he can get past Floyd jr.

I'm a HUGE Hatton fan, and i think he'll be the one to beat mayweather, but honestly, there's about a snowballs chance in hell that he'll beat Margarito.

Unless there were something ****ty about the way he put on the weight, it seems he doesn't carry his power, stamina, or chin at 147.

We know Collazo isn't a huge puncher, and he managed to rock Hatton.

              Margarito would KTFO Hatton.
