Abel Sanchez: It's Going to be Easier to prepare for Canelo than it was for Jacobs

I'm wondering when the smack talk between both camps will start. You know Abel Sanchez is going to say some stuff. I know Eddie Reynoso and Canelo may respond. Though I don't think Canelo will engage much in smack talk. We know GGG is not. Abel always does the talking, kind of like Roach used to do.

I didn't read the article, just saw the video from Chris Mannix. I'm surprised he'd say Canelo began his career at the top! He did not. He was even thinking of retiring at 18 when he fathered his girl in order to support her. His brother Ramon talked to his dad and the family and they all agreed to help him so that he could continue his career. He fought for 5 years in obscurity.

Yeah, I've heard about Canelo's upbringing with his family and situation in Mexico. I forgot exactly how many brothers box. Is it 3 or 4?

Great story on the family, their upbringing and on all of the brothers boxing journeys.

7 brothers total and 1 sister. Canelo used to sell popsicles at the bus stops and inside buses.

At age 10, his brother Rigo gave him a pair of gloves and that's how it all started for Canelo.

This thread became a lesson about Canelo's life story? Cool

            No way? 7 brothers box?

Are you saying he has 7 brothers or that 7 brothers box or both? Lol

And wow about the selling popsicles. They should do a documentary on the family. That would be cool.

I have to say I agree with Sanchez. Canelo did not have the height and reach Jacobs has and Golovkin now ha the experience against top tier elite fighters in Jacobs. Going the full round even that is a great experience.

All 7 boxed. They own some sort of record for having all 7 box on the same card.

                    Damn, Cool Story.

Actually a documentary on both boxers families would be great. I know Triple G had an older brother that got killed in war and they were never given their brothers body, I don't think they even told them how he died. It affected the family deeply. Triple G says he still holds that anger inside about his older brothers death. And it was interesting how he and his fraternal twin brother Max decided who would box professionally and who who stay behind to take care of the family.

A documentary on both Golovkin and Canelo and their families would be great for their upcoming fight.
