Right before he fought Jacobs he said, "no fight. Just box. Just box."


He went in there and just outboxed Jacobs without getting touched up at all. completely unmarked against a far more offensive fighter in Jacobs vs Brook.



He legit said what he was going to do and did it.


He definitely had intentions to look a certain way in those fights.

if anything I think GGG wanted to go 12 just in case Canelo's fight does get extended to the 2nd half. his gas tank and heart were always in question because what if he was like a Tyson?


Then he came out and won the 12th round clearly in the Jacobs fight. He's proven he can do that too.

If you mean he ment to struggle with Jacobs youre outa your mind, this is not a game of checkers.

Whats been presented by both guys is what it is, Canelo wasn't mature enough and is the naturally smaller man that's why they stalled they needed to bring Canelo along a bit more to be ready for that fight, all the while G is getting older and the fight is much bigger so it was better for them to have played the game the way they have, it was smart where being macho and taking the fight too early was dumb.
