You didn't answer my question-Notice that they gave a date but not a location yet. Why do you think that is?
Dana White the man involved in the fight said the opposite. He was at Canelo fight and out his own mouth said now that this is happening no way we fighting that day. He said we just lost the sept 16 day to Canelo/GGG. Mexican holidays are huge for boxing and mexican fights. You are nuts if you think boxing fans and mexicans who drive the market are choosing Floyd/Mcgregor over Canelo/GGG. Fact is if they fought the same day it hurts Floyd/Mcgregor more. And even the UFC boss said they are moving the date because of Canelo/GGG. UFC fight fans are used to big fights on other dates anyway it's only boxing fans that care about the May/Sept mexican dates. They will make a lot of money on some random date. There was no fight that was moving Canelo/GGG.

As I underatnd it, Dana isn't the lead promoter for this, Mayweather Promotions would be so its their decision.

Floyd/Macgregor isn't going to appeal to the Mexican market because it isn't a real fight. it will however massively appeal to the PPV market-which is bigger than the Mexican boxing market in the US-and would be the bigger event among casual fans.

Also, what about the african american market. While I do believe Mexicans make up a significant part of the market, the top 2 PPV atrs, Floyd and Manny, and 4 of the top 5 are not mexican.

      Didn't cotto/canelo move to November for Floyd/berto?

GBP is on a roll after that bs fight???? Idk if I can even agree with the starting premise.

I am curious to how many PPV's they sold to get a better idea of how many sucker fans their are &/or see how loyal Mexicans fans reallllllllly are.

Nah it doesn't make sense to even have the fight in September.

If I was involved in this fight I'd be aiming for St. Paddy's Day 2018. Just like Floyd hijacked Mexican holidays vs Mexican opponents he should hijack a Irish holiday vs an Irish opponent. That's the move to make to maximize the impact of the fight.

as sad as it is..it would not even be a competition man.. Floyd-McGregor is a circus true..but would outsell any fight boxing has to offer

If he decides to fight Conor on Sept 16th (because it is a the 2nd biggest weekend for boxing) and GBP moves the canelo/ggg fight its because Floyd is the greatest economic force in the sport.

No need for GBP to lose resources proving something they and you already know.

                You got that ass backwards.

Oscar hired Floyd's dad in hopes of getting some of that Black magic.....Mayweather was born with it.

Interesting. Makes sense. but Conor isn't licensed to box anywhere but Nevada I believe. So if its there it would almost surely be in Sept or May.

Why can't you fight in Vegas in March? You don't think Irish will come over in plane fulls in March?
