Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Unlike May-Pac, Canelo-Golovkin Will Deliver!

LAS VEGAS Those still bothered by Mayweather-Pacquiao shouldn't worry about wasting their money again. That was one of Oscar De La Hoya's promotional messages early Sunday morning. "The Golden Boy" can't see Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin, the biggest boxing pay-per-view event since Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao disappointed fans worldwide in May 2015, at all resembling that incomparably hyped dud.

Canelo's best (some would say only) chance to win is to outbox GGG, jabbing effectively and making sure he avoids GGG's power. My guess is he minimizes risk by doing alot of the same things he did with Chavez Jr.

What if one fighter proves to be levels above the other just like May-Pac? What if this lives up to the Barrera-Morales type war Canelo/Chavez was?

That's because Fraud Gayfeather soured everyone into buying PPVs with his constant running and hugging.

Oscar has never gotten over getting schooled by Mayweather, he cannot promote a fight without constantly bringing up Floyd. Pathetic really.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao is one of the worst fights I've seen right next to Canelo vs Chavez Jr.
