I dislike Oscar simply because I don't condone guys wearing stockings and heels (even though it was some personal **** that wasn't supposed to leak, it's hard to perceive him the same way as before, other than that, I have nothing against him), but he gained some of my respect for making this fight

Some say the fight was already made. Find it hard to believe Golovkin's relatively poor form wasn't a factor in getting GBP over the line though.

Oscar not only said before the Jacobs fight Canelo/GGG would happen in Sept but he also gave GGG a 15m offer for Sept. If Jacobs fight influenced anybody it was the GGG camp who before that fight wouldn't take the offer. they got spooked that Jacobs almost beat him and realized we can't have any more fights that ruin our payday with Canelo. Also those disappointing PPV numbers sobered them up to reality of what GGG is worth made them stop pricing themselves out. They finally bent over at the negotiations table. It's called accepting your B side position.
