Because Floyd was sharp shooting him. Not saying Golovkin can't walk Canelo down but you're relying on a flawed example. Mayweather is exceptional of presenting an open target and capitalising on the opponent taking the bait. He moves in a way that causes fighters to reset themselves consistently. Eventually hesitation sets in and they wind up taking steps back as they think too much.

Golovkin doesn't present that type of pressure. His type of pressure could end up playing into Canelo's counter punching.
