Then why wouldn't soft Wlad go after the KO over Joshua?

What a crock of crap coming from the KLit commie camp. Wlad went soft and stood there letting Joshua recover without going for the KO win. Excuses are like rear end poop shoots everyone has one. Amazingly ******.

Yeah and Joshua didn't finish Klitschko in the 5th when he knocked him down and cut his eye open.

        Next fight please.

I think Boente's assessment is a fair one. A lot of hero worship here from partisan casuals but the bottom line is that the fight could so easily have gone either way and Wlad clearly made a massive miscalculation. Never mind R6, I picked out a moment in R7 when AJ was still there for the taking, going through the motions to defend himself; with 2:19 to go he was on the ropes ducking punches while Wlad was still trying to tee him up for the right hand. That would have been the time to finish him with combinations from all angles. The uppercut that turned the fight in R11 was a punch Wlad would normally have avoided but as he admitted, his eye was full of blood and nobody can plan for or against a cut. So, full respect to AJ for hanging in there and coming back so well, but for the above reasons, the result of a rematch is far from certain; what I do know is that Wlad is not a fighter who makes the same mistake twice.
