  • Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Canelo-Golovkin Could Go 'Anywhere Around World'

LAS VEGAS The site of the Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin fight could be determined by how much size matters to Oscar De La Hoya. Alvarez's promoter said Sunday morning during a press conference at T-Mobile Arena that he is open to bringing the highly anticipated middleweight title fight "anywhere around the world." De La Hoya revealed that he received calls from unspecified people from Dubai and the United Kingdom during the time between when Alvarez-Golovkin was announced in the ring and the press conference began.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that Dubai call if I was Oscar.

90,000 at Wembley stadium. Make it happen. Joshua vs Wilder joint top of the bill. I can dream can't I?

Wasn't GBP and others looking into that Dallas stadium idea? In the end, I don't care where, just that it actually happens.

Darn, everybody has just forgotten about Chavez Jr lol. The guy was really weight drained. Pity it wasn't much of a fight.

This called creating leverage to force Vegas to bid more for the rights. Said the same thing about Chavez fights and gave cowboy stadium a chance to make offers. Then took that back to Vegas to let them know you better pay up if you want it and Vegas did. Book it Canelo vs GGG will be at t-mobile in Vegas because Vegas always wins the bids for big fights.

Yep. This fight will be in Vegas. Too much money to pass up. Canelo-Chavez could've did 90,000 at Jerry's world last night, they could've did 100,000 in Mexico City. People don't realize how much more money you make in Vegas.

That fight isn't going anywhere but Vegas. Oscar not making sense once again. The people that went to the fight last night isn't going to Dubai or the U.K. to watch Canelo fight.
