Saw it last nite at a theater, right up front. I have never seen a fighter take that much punishment and not drop/get stopped. Guaranteed Reyes has been ruined. No way he can resume his career at the same level. And Lemieux did a great job of getting in some good boxing after the initial 4 rounds of pummeling the guy. And he didn't run out of steam. So 2 great wins in a row counting the Stevens destruction. Can't wait for his next fight. Same for Matthysse.

Reyes will fight again. Taking a beating without going down ironically is a good thing in the eyes of the Mexican/Laitno fans because of the machismo. Mexicans, e.g. Antonio Margarito, Israel Vazquez, etc. Prefer losing an eye than going to the ground.

In light of the GGG vs Canelo fight finally becoming reality, I wonder what Oscar plans to do with Lemieux next ???

It might not be a bad idea to get Saunders to consider Lemieux soon... I know Saunders wants GGG or Canelo eventually for the bigger bucks..

The smart move for Saunders is to fight a low risk stiff or two then unify vs the Canelo/GGG winner...
The problem with that is the GGG/Canelo fight is electric and if it's reasonable close, a big money rematch should be in short order..

I think Golden Boy should start getting to work on Saunders right away and reinforce that idea of a immediate rematch between Canelo & GGG, thus making a Saunders fight vs the GGG/Canelo winner a 1.5 or 2 year away proposition...

Maybe Saunders next fight could have Lemieux on the undercard in England somewhere... I think Lemieux would agree to fight Saunders in England for his title...
It's the biggest potential paycheck for the both of them outside of Canelo and Triple G perhaps nearly 2 years down the road...

A very tough fight for the Canadian. One of his toughest. Huge opponent with power, good timing and movement, not to mention his clinching slickness, hehe... annoying to normal fans like me, but regarded as a skill to many of our friends here.

Looking forward to Lemmie's next fight. Felix Diaz is the next fighter to watch. Cong**** to my other boy, Lucas.
