You can If the guys you KO have weak chins and have been brutalized before.

    Ashiida KO'd Kirkland..
That guy can't knock over a box of cereal.

Khan has a sand castle chin.

    Canelito is not a puncher.

Canelo doesn't have great punching power and never had it, he stopped Khan, Kirkland, Angulo by accumulation and Smith, besides Smith, all of them were stopped before and at lighter classes, he couldn't drop Lara and Cotto despite both of them being down several times during their careers and the only top fighter that he has ever knocked down is Trout who has been knocked down plenty of times himself.
Canelo doesn't have great power but he does have great timing and accuracy and that's far more important, so it doesn't matters if he can't really knock guys unconscious at 160 because his style isn't about that, he is heavy handed enough to make his opponents think about pressure him but he wouldn't score the ko's he scored against Khan and Kirkland over top opposition.
So how do you think his power will be relevant against GGG?

So, do you think GGG is just going to walk through his punches?

Problem is the guy he is going to fight next has great timing, accuracy plus power. That kind of power can get a fighter out if a jam really quickly.

Who has dropped chavez? And he's not 160lber he's a natural light heavy weight much bigger the canelo and anyone at 160. We can clown on chavez but the one thing he has is a great chin only been down once and that was to fonfara a 175lb fighter and he didn't keep him down chavez got up and then just quit. So canelo not being able to put chavez away doesn't really tell me much. He busted chavez face up and got him gun shy because he didn't want to be hit that tells me he can hurt other much smaller fighters at 160. He doesn't need a 1 shot KO. He's a skilled fighter needs just enough pop to gain respect from his opponent and he definitely has that.

Cotto, Lara all got on their bikes afraid to trade with canelo for a reason. You don't do that if you not worried about his power. If Lara stays in the pocket more and doesn't run he gets knocked out. If Cotto comes forward aggressive and tries to fight him like he did Pacquiao he is put to sleep. Canelo was the first to drop trout and stumbled him multiple times all fight long and after the knockdown in an open scoring fight where he knew he knew he was down on scorecards he shut it down and quit. Last 1/3 of the fight was trout not taking chances because he didn't want to get dropped or knocked out by another counter. Chavez shut it down after a few rounds refusing to throw because it left him open to get hit. You don't get on your bike, go to a shell if the guy hitting you can't hurt you.

                  Pretty much.

Canelo is not a puncher by any stretch of the imagination.

Lara is always on his bike...usually going backwards.

                    Dude has one gear.....reverse...

Dont be naive, you need a light heavyweight to stop chavez...
Maravilla had good power at 160 and did less damage than canelo did on chavez...
