Its called negotiation. If you're right about the purse split (and I am pretty sure you are) GGG's team was just playing hardball. They knew that if they couldn't come to an agreement it would go to a purse bid and they would get half the bid. That last statement is key because purse bids don't affect PPV splits. Most purse bid fights don't end up in a PPV. They would still need to negotiate those splits afterwards.

As for the fight. Some people like myself never thought it would happen. Some extremely pessimistic people thought it would only happen once GGG got old and started to show his age. They may be right. But you know what. At this point I am just happy its happening. The contracts have been signed and the deal has been made. This is a case of better late than never. Lets appreciate this for what it is. The biggest middleweight fight the division has seen in years.

And lets also give Canelo props. Sure he acted like a b!tch for a long time but he didn't need to make this fight. He could have made millions fighting bums and still have the love of his fans. But finally he stepped up. Celebrate that.

The way it is here, its like Golovkin has been waiting 5 years.

Charlo has a lot going for him, size, athleticism and power!

So funny watching the Canelo haters scramble for some reason, ANY reason... to keep hating Canelo. And I'm sure when Canelo counters and out boxers the shiii outta GGG, you GGG-Bozo Heddz will STILL whine. Geez, get a life or find another sport to grind on.

But I thought you GGG-aholics said nothing was wrong last fight, and that he beat the he!! outta Jacobs? So now he's all the sudden over the hill? Wow, you loooo-zzzuuurrrs are ridiculous.
