Canelo vs GGG - last two fights.

Easiest conclusion is GGG had the harder fights.

    Golovkin faced Jacobs and Brook,
The Can faced Smith and JCC JR.

Brook had a chin and was undefeated, also beat Porter, has power.
Jacobs was a stronger and more active fighter who dropped Peter Quillin. Both Brook and Jacobs coming off wins.

JCC last fought at 160 in 2012, got knocked out at lightheavyweight. Last fought a bum in Mexico.

Liam Smith - never fought outside UK (Brook didn't either). was a young champion with a belt off a no name. No strong power. Fought at 154.

GGG fought the tougher guys, Canelo handled his fights well but it's no comparison.

I think this will show in September. GGG didn't look like a mythic god against Jacobs because he isn't a mythic god. People have to get over that. No one at the top knocks out everybody. However, he had a 24-fight KO streak which few fighters ever get close to doing. He is clearly the harder puncher and has fought lots of real, full-sized middleweights. Canelo would have made a JCCJr. who was actually trying look like garbage all day long. However, GGG probably would stop him. Golovkin has been working toward this his whole career. This is his big chance. Canelo has been fighting big fights since Mayweather. It's good that he's used to it, but the stakes are higher for GGG. If he wins, he beats what possibly will be a hall of famer which he doesn't have on his ledger. Canelo already has a couple. GGG has more motivation in this one. He didn't take the Saunders fight because this one was already signed. So all the trash talk about that and the supposed earlier offer are, as we see, just talk. GGG will be on his absolute best game. This is his big chance. He won't disappoint.
