  • Comments Thread For: Dillian Whyte: Hearn Says Joseph Parker Could Be Next

Dillian Whyte could well be in line for a world title shot later this year. The Brixton heavyweight, who is a former British champion and whose sole loss in the paid code came against fierce rival and now-IBF, WBA Super and IBO world champion Anthony Joshua back in December 2015, returns to the ring next month.

Much better fight than Hughie vs Parker in terms of entertainment

Hearn is a slick basted lol but I knew he'd offer Parker a fight w/ Bellew, Whyte, or Haye.

            Think about this...

            Bellew v. Haye numbers:
            Live gate - $3.5 million
            PPV - $12 million
            Fighters purse - $9 million
            Haye's take - $5.4 million
            Bellew's take - $3.6 million

With those numbers I'd be going to the UK too

Wilder should just go scalp hunting and clean up $10 - $15 million in the UK over the course of two or three fights until Joshua is ready. Then he can't be ignored. **** these million dollar pay days he's been getting domestically. He deserves more money. That market can support him right now, and it won't take a purse bid to do it (like the Povetkin fight, where he was supposed to get $4 million for a fight in Russia)

Think Hearn wants Wilder and Parker to fight one of his fighters before they get Joshua, to make the fight bigger. Would prefer Bellew/Parker and Wilder/Whyte. Wilder/Bellew would be sickening and I can see it happening.

Won't go as far to say, an easy nights work, but can't see Parker causing Dill many problems.
Punching power, defence, ring generalship are all lacking.

If I was Whyte I would be pushing HARD for this fight

This would be a solid fight if Whyte can get past Wach

Haha Whyte was licking his chops in the studio after the Parker fight, that's a good fight if the Wilder unification don't happen.
