Actually, I share these thoughts as well, lol. I honestly think he's just over protected cash cow that Goldenboy doesn't want to feed to his destruction in GGG. At least not until it's a guaranteed win.

I don't see one truly exceptional win on Canelo's career if I don't remove some sort of handicap that was given going into the fight by the opponent.

im struggling to see it, i saw ricky hatton suggesting he is pound for pound number 1 and i nearly choked on my fry up.

Whats so great about him? Is he fast- no. Does he carry power- no, thats a complete myth. Does he have quick feet- jesus christ, hell no. Is his defence great- no. I guess his chins fairly solid although cottos brother hurt him and we havent really seen him in with someone who can punch other than kirkland who was packing serious glass. I guess canelos greatest asset is having an automatic head start on the scorecards.

I look at his cv, wheres the great wins? He seems to have shot up after beating cotto, wow what an achievement to beat cotto!!! Man im so impressed. The only guy in years pacquiaos stopped and who clottey almost beat. He looked like **** that night cause he fought someone who was truly elite. And if he fought someone truly elite again im betting he'd look like **** again.

The guys been fighting people smaller than him, fight after fight. Thats his main advantage along with crooked judges. Lets see how he does tonight now hes lost that advantage, people saying chavez is average, yeah true, but when you really dissect canelo as a fighter i dont see much special. Dont be shocked if he looks terrible tonight.

Well canelo is obviously very good or he wouldn't have wins over guys like cotto, lara, trout..

He is a very good technical puncher, maybe not a huge power puncher, but he throws some nice shots and has a nice variety in his attack.

He tends to get a little flat footed at times, especially when he is throwing a combination.. If he can ever learn to step with his punches like marquez, canelo would be very deadly..

Chin is solid
Stamina not the best but has improved
defense is solid
Ring generalship has greatly improved.. Huge difference now compared to canelo vs floyd, hatton, rhodes
