Gamboa/Crawford - a classic of this decade or not? What you think?

I know I've been saying that Gamboa win is overrated when I talk about Crawford's resume (not saying Crawford is overrated, he's in my top 3 fighters to watch). And I hate fights where some boxer has weight advantage/disadvantage (Brook/Golovkin, Canelo/Khan - I wasn't even watching both of these fights, to be honest with you.)

But man, I can't remember ANY other fight of this decade that I've enjoyed more than Gamboa/Crawford. For me, it's a modern day classic, no doubt. And that's the last time when Gamboa looked impressive.

It was a war that doesn't resemblance type of fights where both fighters try to block punches with their faces - and I've never liked these type of fights like Salido/Vargas, Provodnikov/Bradley or Frampton/LSC where they throw millions of punches and it looks like both guys doesn't have enough pop to hurt the opponent. For me, that **** is boring

But Crawford/Gamboa...It was a war where both fighters displayed aggression but with high level of skillset and boxing ability. Not a chessmatch like Kovalev/Ward, but not a mindless brawl where will prevails over skills either. It's one of my favorite fights ever, a classic fight in my opinion. It was technical aggression, intense clash of two skilled fighters. What you think?

Gamboa was coming off a long lay off from what I remember, it was a good performance from Crawford and a good fight though.

it was a fighter beating someone half his size and plagued with inactivity. not a classic in my opinion.

Good matchup, good fight, but hardly a classic

HBO wanted Crawford vs Matthysse after the Gamboa fight. Team Crawford (which included Arum) didn't want it. HBO settled with a far less attractive fight between two foreigners, Lucas and Postol.

It was a very good fight. It falls short of being a classic to me but many fans might consider it a classic. It was kind of one sided in Crawford's favor. Gamboa was really too small for lightweight.
