The US is irrelevant to heavyweight boxing at the moment. How much does Wilder earn? Like $2m per fight? Joshua vs Wilder would make far more money in the UK than in the USA

Haye vs Bellew is rumoured to have done ~900k PPV sales, which means it was more lucrative than Kovalev vs Ward and Golovkin vs Jacobs. Joshua vs Klitschko did 1.5m-2m. Joshua vs Fury might reach 3m

Wilder just wants a big payday. A fight with Joshua in the UK is the biggest coin he'll ever see. It'll be less that what Wlad got though... Wilder isn't a big draw.

Wilder gets a lot of unfair hate and criticism, but the reason he hasn't been all over ESPN and the rest of the mainstream U.S. media is he hasn't fought anyone elite. Its not all his fault, I mean how are you going to blame Wilder for Povetkin juicing every chance he gets. Regardless, unless Parker mans up and fights Wilder, he isn't going to have any mega-fight that can catapult him into superstardom. Wilder's last outing he looked timid and mediocre at best until he landed that one punch. Of course this is HW boxing, so that is all it takes.

As for Joshua, he appears to be the cream of the crop. Joshua-Wilder is the fight to make, but Joshua-Fury, Joshua-Pulev, and Joshua-Ortiz will all be ahead of that. As for Fury, it pisses me off that a giant, literally a freakin' ogre, dances around. If you are as big as an elephant knock some people out! Second, I don't think Fury would have had much of a chance against AJ before he quit boxing to take up ******* and professional eating, and now it will be an easy fight for big money for AJ.

I'm American so obviously I want Wilder to unify all the HW belts, but honestly, if he fights AJ Wilder could land that one punch like Rahman did to Lewis, but AJ would be like Lewis and win 8 or 9 fights out of 10. Other than AJ Wilder is head and toes above everyone else, but second place is only the first loser.

I hate to admit it, but you're probably right. If you become a bona fide superstar like Floyd or Manny the U.S. will make you far richer than anywhere else, but unless Wilder fights an elite opponent where Wilder gets up off the canvas and lands a punch like the uppercut AJ did on Wlad, not many in the U.S. are buying a HW PPV.

Still, AJ has the potential and a real chance to capture the American "general sports fan" and become the face of boxing. Or he can stay fighting in the UK and still be wealthier than most can ever dream of. I wanna see AJ fight and not in the afternoon, so I hope he fights over here.

Realistically Parker is the only one who he can fight soon (and Bellew actually might bump him based on recent news)

The Joshua fight isn't happening untill Eddie thinks they can get a larger payday than what a British fight would generate (he's been saying it all week). Wilder is their only possible 100 million dollar fight. (Due to PPV prices) That's the reality of the situation and Wilder knows that. Just look at what Hearn said about Madison Square Garden a few days ago. Joshua ain't coming here this year.

If I'm Wilder I'd be screaming at Al and Lou to lock up the Parker fight asap. They'll have to beat whatever number Hearn/Bellew will throw at him for sure.
That's EXACTLY what he's doing though! He borderline desperate to unify. Why is that bringing negativity his way? Isn't that what we want from our fighters? To pursue the best in their division?

Wilder has never made $2 million for a fight. Was supposed to get $4 for the PED user due to the purse bid. (Probably got it in the settlement though; wasn't disclosed)

For comparison Charles Martin got $4 million for fighting Joshua in the UK

I think it's all the "gun smoke" talk that's annoying (but hilarious to me) for some.

He'll get his eventually. I don't think he'll get that Parker fight next though unless they bring the money bags out.
