If He had even decent power behind his shots, he would have beaten the Mexican. Like you said, he was digging in, and landing some good body shots in particular, but the Mexican just walked through him and landed his own forceful shots. The first 10-15 seconds I thought the Russian was going to school him, landing a flush jab and a couple clean body hooks. But you could see they had no effect on the Mexican.
