Lemieux feels he has the inside track to fight Canelo in September

He fights right before the main event. That's the only undercard fight the casuals watch, hoping for an early KO so the main event can start. Golden Boy probably told him to go out and look impressive and if he does he got the fight in September.

It is a solid backup plan if the GGG fight doesn't come through. I wouldn't mind seeing it, although it remains to be seen if he could fair better against Canelo than he did GGG.

I think Canelo would fare better against Lemieux. Lemieux with his short arms likes to come inside and GGG was able to keep him outside with his jab. Canelo specializes in fighting close range.

It's looking like Lemieux or Saunders this year and early 2018. GGG will be ducked for anotjer year.

They put Lemieux on the undercard as a clear message to GGG camp. You continue to price yourself out Lemieux is grabbing the sept lottery ticket. With saunders now facing his mandatory GGG is shyt out of luck with no options. Has to either rematch Jacobs or accept the offer on the table and fight Canelo. As bad as Jacobs made him look he better just cash out and fight Canelo.

GoldenBoy should try & reach out to feature Saunders on the Sept. Card

A 15 million dollar offer is a duck?

It might provide Lemieux with some opportunities though. As limited as he is, he is still a killer puncher. The best way to fight him is exploit his lack of craft. I think the fight would be more exciting though.

Was there a contract? Did you see all the details of the alleged offer? I am no GGG fanboy, but I am convinced he wants this fight a lot more than Canelo.
