Gamboa was one of the most exciting fighters in the game then made a terrible business decision signing with 50 and that derailed and wasted years in his prime. He's got a big fight coming up he has to win and look good. A lot of fun fights you can make at Gamboa's weight.

Agree 100%. Yuri was electrifying a few years ago. Such a treat to watch. I don't know if he would've been a superstar -- that sort of thing is so unpredictable -- but there's no doubt he had superstar talent. That's life.

Signing with 50 basically ruined his prime. **** was crazy.

The fight was contracted at 133. He looks good for a quick turnaround from his last fight on HBO 7 weeks ago. Here is the weighin.

From today's weight no doubt he can still make 130 for a title fight. I think he is too small for 135.

I hope Gamboa shows out tomorrow, because there's still a lot of fights I'd like to see him in if he shows me there's something left

I would love to see him return to his normal form before the layoff.. He is still has one of the best looking styles as far as fighting and can possibly reach the top again is he makes the right fights.. The entire month of May is going to be exciting for the boxing community and we deserve the best fights for the remainder of the year..
